United States Army Air Forces, well known here, is spending a leave with his wife. Mrs* Mary lt;Sl. f John) Hocy on Scott street.' The airman has Been on active duty in the Pacific war zone for the past many months, and saw a great deal of action in several of the key invasions of the last year of the war.Lieut. Hocy has been piloting CM7 and 054 cargo planes that have been used to transport war materials right up to the fighting fronts and evacuate wounded on the return trip. He would say nothing about his experience In the war zone when interviewed today byTHE NEWS, stating that he vms under strict censorship in regard to his activities in the Pacific theater of war.While In the Pacific he met his brother Lieut. Ned Hoey. a naviga-tor on a U. S. Army bomber, that made many of the first strike* on key Jap targets. Lieut, Ned Hocy has since come home and received his honorable discharge from the service.Another brother, Thomas Hoey is still in the U. S. Army Air Corps overseas, while a fourth, Edward Hocy received his honorable dls- ; charge from the U. S. Navy some months ago.All four Brothers arc sons of John Hoey of Walnut street.
