Persons Securing Bonds To Attend Dinner Will Meet Hollywood StarsOpportunity for everyone — everyone who buys a bond — to meet and greet the lovely Gene Tierney and Chester Morris, Hollywood screen luminaries, Sunday noon will be provided if time permits.The local committee has planned a $50 bond Victory dinner and a reception to follow that will be open to all who purchase a $25bond.With the $25 bond the purchaser will receive a card of thanks with space on it for an autograph of one of the movie stars.Will Autograph CardsThe committee pointed out Friday it may not be possible for the stars to autograph all cards in the short time they will have in La Crosse. If each person will put his name and address on the back, the stars will take the cards back to Hollywood, autograph them and return them to the local committee. The committee will make arrangements to have them returned to the owners.Because of tis excellent record in the 10 per cent industrial bond drive, La Crosse industry has been invited to participate in the Victory dinner.The dinner, itself, will be free to all purchasers of $50 bonds, but the first 350 persons to make reservations will be seated.Plant Workers AttendOne delegate from each of the 26 local plants now signed up 100 per cent on the 10 per cent pay roll deduction plan of bond purchases will be seated at the dinner.In most instances the individual in each 10 per cent group who has done the most in the current war bond drive will be selected as his company’s representative. During the course of the dinner eachcompany representative will receive recognition from the guest stars for the excellent work that has been done on behalf of th« war bond Droeram.
