Maine Unit Assigned South Portland HotelNearly 100 officers and men ofthe 401st Quartermaster Petroleum Depot Company. Maine’s first organized reserve army unit called to active service. will be quartered In the Grand View Hotel, Preble Street, South Portland, starting Monday.The hotel owner said that the 54-room hotel is being readied for ■ the unit, made up mostly of officers and a cadre of key enlisted personnel. Commanding officers of the company is Capt. Russell M. Lawson, Sanford, and other members of the unit are from York Couhty.The group apparently will be quartered in the hotel until It Is brought to full strength.
