RECEIVES PURPLE HEARTSamuel Bowen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bowen of Big Prairie, who was severely injured at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941 was awarded the Purple Heart medal Saturday by the U. S. government.Young Bowen, who spent manymonths in hospitals for treatment for severe burns, is now at the home of his parents. He is employed by the Flexible Co., Lou-waicwS]leEleLlt;| r*tlorn die.
