25 Area Men Enlisted For U.S. Naval ServiceTwenty-five area men has latently enlisted in the United States Navy through the Rocky Jount Navy Recruiting Branch Station located in the Post Of-ice building, according to the ocal Navy recruiters, Chief Ufred Jefferson and Chief David Wetheriugton.The recruits, practically all of vhom will train at Great jakes, Illinois., are as follows:Thomas Deloatch, son of Mr. ind Mrs. Henry N. (Bob) Sides, executive vice president of Citizens Savings and Loan Assn. and former judge of City Juvenile Court, was taken to Duke Hospital Sunday morning after internal hemorrhaging resumed.Sides was recuperating from a serious operation performed earlier to correct internal bleeding. Hospital officials said his condition is critical.John Emmett Dew„ son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Dew of Route 2, Rocky Mount.
