E. A. Camp. Mr. Camp’s ef-s fort was one of the best he has ever given us. and was feelingly received by the large crowd surrounding him. During these exercises the business houses of the city were closed.After Mr. Camp had concluded, the soldier boys lined up and were given a hearty hand-shake and a fervent “God bless you by every man. woman and child in the large crowd. The boys were then loaded into automobiles and taken to Cameron where they were due to report to the Exemption Board to be sworn in to Uncle Sam's service at 10:00 a. m. There were about a dozen cars making the trip. One soldier boy was allotted to each car. and the crowd which accompanied them to Cameron was representative of the spirit of patriotism that prevades Regal Rockdale.
