Rock-The breakfast was served in true old fashioned Souther and the table was loaded with such viands as onlv Souti ern cooks know how to prepare. The menu included crisp break‘a!u !T;0me,ette P0tat0 chips' fried chicken and broiled steak; hot b,scults and golden butter, home made light bread an an assortment of preserves and jams, together with fresh fruit of several kinds. It was just such a breakfast as will tend t make these embryo soldiers think of home and mother hereafte when they remember their last meal in Rockdale. Before beinj seated the host made a few appropriate remarks, and during th progress of the meal toasts were given to the boys by Dr. I. F Sessions, Rev. W. E. Copeland and Hon. E. A. Camp. These wer responded to feelingly by Mr. T. P. Hightower on behalf of th-I honor guests.Following the breakfast a reception was held in (he Meyei parlors to which a large number of the townspeople responded and during the progress of the reception the Red Cross ladie; rendered a beautiful musical program.
