SFC HARRY Q. TOMS/ Fort Ritchie, received a certificate of retirement this week from Col, Percy H. Lash, Jr., commanding officer, after 22 years of service. A native of Hagerstown, he entered the service in 1937, receiving basic training at Fort Howard, Md. la 1944,he served with the 85th Division in Italy, and in 1953 with the Second Division in Korea. SFC Toms is tho son of Mrs. Bessie Toms, 3715 Sherman Avenue.' He and his family live at Highfield, with six children enrolled in Cascade and Smithsburg schools.uttCirtae:wStlehPVb
