TO INCREASECRAIN STORAGEWork To Start Tomorrow On Large Concrete Structures For PurposePlans for largely increasedgrain storage capacity for theCereal Products company inthis city were revealed todaywhen officers of the company announced that contracts had been awarded to the McKenzie and Hague company of Minneapolis, for erection of a number of large concrete structures for the company. The McMullen Pitz company of this city, has been given the contract for driving of piling for foundation of the newstructures.Work on the new project will be started tomorrow and is expected to be completed 'Sometime in November. It isstated that from 76 to 100 men wi 11 be needed in the work.Half Million Increase With the erection of the new large structures planned, .providing 22 new bins, the storage capacity of the Cereal Products Go. will be increased bv one'fta'ff million Isabels and with the old-, .toraea.capacity of 2,000,000 bushels wilf vailab1-ttrt010rn$ilt;be available.The new structures will be erected adjacent-to the old storage units to facilitate transfer and handling of products with dispatch. The new bins will be equipped with latest devices for rapid handling and the improvement will be an Important one to the company. • *The decision of the Cereal Products company to construct concrete bins is due to the durability and in interests of economy in insure ance, rates qf which are high-on wooden bins largely used in the past.
