In* October Colonel McNeil became the base commander at Columbia, S. C., and remained there untilhis transfer to the Far East, Colonel McNeil, his wife, Emma Campbell McNeil, and daughter, Suezanne, are living in a Japanese style home in Tokyo.Colonel McNeil was awarded the Legion of Merit for the efficient manner in which he commanded Columbia Air Force base,South Carolina, and the Chinesedecoration, Special Breast Order Yun Hur, for the training of Chinese combat crews at the same base.I
