Going to Occidental he was a member of the Phi j Gamma Delta fraternity and graduated in 1939. In high school he won his letter as a tennis star and also at Occidental. Participating in all local tennis tournaments, as well as Pasadena tourneys, he won the San Marino City Badminton championship last month by defeating Joe Peatman. He lives at 1340 Old Mill road.Unmarried, young Houghton has two sisters, Mrs. Robert G. Clelland, who was San Marino’s Silver Queen in the 1938 RoseParade, and another married sister who lives in Los Angeles.
