He was a popular faculty member and soccer coach during* f39-40 and 40-41.In a letter to Capt. Williams 'he wrote: “Right now Pm missing* W.M. A. very much. I've been assigned♦to the Philippine Army—four American officers in command of a native regiment, x x x The ‘Recall’ was certainly swell. I received one from Mrs. Brown. x x x x Lots of work here, day and night. I really feel as4if I am doing* some good. If we could go to war now I could get back soon-
