New d. rict officer* were also elected in the meeting, held in the offices ci the Brown Shoe Co.Besides be rg the first Air Scout Squadron in the state, it ia the aeeond type organization in region No. 7. compr.sing Illinois. Indiana. Michigan, Wsiconsin and Minnisota.Mr Murphy said The squadron is sponsored by the Westfield Flying Service, operators of Leckrone Field here. The sponsoring committee consists of George Lytle, I!ur-nice Williams. Earl Trammel, Harry Jones ant Harold Graf. Its Scout master will he Bill Rogers Ground tSohoo!The squadron’s activity will consist of learning technical fundamental* of flying in a grou n d school. Instruction will not develop to the stage of flight training, it is explainedThe squadron already numbers tight boya and in two weeks the membership is expected to include three time* this number. To he eligible for the squadron, It is explained, a hoy must be a first class scout who is 18 or older and acf‘ve in a Scout troop.
