LETER FROM CALVIN FOLKERSThe World-Journal is in receipt of a letter from Calvin Folkers, formerly of this city, now in a U. S. military camp at Camp Rucker, Alabama. The letter follows.Ackley World - Journal Office: — Hello Everyone. Well I am still down in the deep, deep South. Getting along just fine, working hard every day, and eating like a trooper— that's right, I guess I am a trooper at that. I am about through with ny basic training. I am now training to go out to a new camp and help train others. I guess if I make it I'll be a section Sarg. I have been Corporal here most of the time. I think maybe we will end up somewhere in Mississippi,How is everyone around the old home town? I get the paper regularly, and appreciate it very much, Lot's of the boys get their home town capers, and it’s really a kick looking I over each other's papers. How’s everything in the newspaper business? going strong I ho^e. I guess that's about it for this issue. Best :e*r*rds to all.Sincerely yours, Cpl. Calvin V. L j Folkers. (“Kelly” for short.)
