'The schools of Westville ’ will be closed Thursday and Friday of this week, according to Superintend M. B. Traw. Traw' said the holiday is to allow teachers to atteiid , the state convention of the Oklahoma Education association in Oklahoma City. All teachers in the Westville high school will attend.Work on a gymnasium for Westville high school with seating capacity of 1,200 is under way. It will be 100 feet long, 90 feet wide and will be constructed of concrete blocks and brick, with an oval roof supported by steel. Wood was obtained from two barracks buildings from .Camp Gruber, which were bought at $12 a thousand from the state penitentiary.An arena for the Westville Roundup Club will be built soon, Harold Moss, president,1 said recently. A building at the arena will cost approximately $1,000, which is being subscribed by members and friends. Members of the building committee are Owen Buffington, Kenneth Morris and ■ Cotton Sloan:rett, Katie Matthews, Duane Murray, Jamie Noah, Imodene Olinger, Jo Ann Wilkerson, Josh Chapman.The Future Nurses Club gained several new members including Tommie Ruth Reese, Uila Com-mingdeer, Margie Downing, Clara Pool, Jane White, Eugenia I Parsons, Betty Lively, Evelyn Moss, LaVern Kindle, Coleen Carlton, Mary Lou Woods. New officers have been elected and installed and include: President, Donna Langley; vice-president, Patsy Ruth Morris; secretary, Beverly Pickens; reporter, Jo Ann Wilkerson; and historian, Pauline Brown.Mr. and Mrs. Jess Foreman and daughter, Christine, who have been living on the Owen Buffington farm the past year, will move back to town and will occupy the Pierce residence recently purchased by W.
