It is estimated the LB/TS would cost $2 million ayear to operate.Funding for Holloman Air Force Base is earmarked foradding or altering the communications maintenance facilities, dormitories and augmenting theWar Readiness Material Storage Depot.Other New Mexico projectsinclude $13.35 million towardaltering the Special Operation Forces maintenance hangar, avionics shop and flight simulator at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque and $4.7 million toward modernizing the SpaceSurveillance Antenna at Elephant Butte Naval Space Survey Field Station.Projects added at Bingaman’s request include $4 million toward construction of National Guard armories at Belen, Clovis and Farmington; $4.6 million toward construction or refurbishment ofNational Guard facilities in Clovis, Santa Fe and Springer and$2.9 million toward upgrading the Army Reserve center in SantaFe.
