Mobbs requested the annexation so he will have to meet only one set of requirements.His request also included the partial abandonment of a drainage easement that doesn’tinclude the existing drainage ditch.Both requests were passed unanimously by thecommissioners.The commission alsoapproved the final reading of an ordinance raising the salary ofmunicipal court judges from$11,500 to $15,000 per year. The increase will take effect after the regular city elections in March.The commission voted totable a proposed change in the municipal retirement plan until the next regular commission meeting.City Manager Dan Malone said that beginning any new policy could cause the city to go over budget this fiscal year. He recommended, if approval is granted, that a phased-in plan be used, beginning with theDepartment of Public Safety.The commission will meet again on Nov. 14.Anderson /from Paae 4
