NEW NAVAL MILITIA OFFICERS.John K. Mnrphy Elected Lieutenant-Commander —Other Promottone.The meeting of the first division of the naval militia held last night was well attended. Officers to fill vacancies caused by the resignation of Lieutenant C. A. Ingersoll were elected. There were two candidates for the place, Charles S. Hutchinson, a former commander of the division, and John K. Murphy, lieutenant junior grade. The election resulted unanimously for Mr. Murphy. Ensign Clifford M. Peck was elected to be lieutenant (junior grade). The following appointments were made: Senior ensign. Ombrose B. Jewett: ensign, Charleh Maynard; boatswain’s mate, first class, William Sliney; boatswain’s matg. second class, William Konitz.
