LEGIONNAIRES PLAN ARMISTICE DAY PROGRAMElaborate Program Being Arranged For November 11 By Carnie Welch Post of the American Legion.The Carnie Welch Post of the American Legion is completing plans for ah Armistice Day program In Salllsaw on Wednesday, November 11.Various forms of entertainment will be held throughout the day. An interesting program will be presented at the school in the morning, and in the afternoon, a ‘‘bull ring” session will be held on Front street. This will be conducted by; Jack Carlile, . with a judge advocate. In the evening a “Smoker” win be held atthe community building at which time an interesting program will be given. An out-of-town speaker will be on this pro;'’ |Funds derived from these entertain-! mentyi will be used by the Legion to purchase Christmas goods for theneedy children of this county. Comeout, have a lot of fun, and help a worthy cause.The Salllsaw band, under the direction of Marshall Metze, will furnish music. Mrs. Max P^ager will have charge of the program for the evening’s enteutaimhjnt.Sometime duringfr he day a dedication flag-poie service will be held at the high school. ...Plans are also being made by the Post to sponsor a costume Hallowe’en dance at the community building on October 31. Prizes wil be given for the best' costume. Plan to attend.
