Prom the lid Ohio CavalryMr. Philip Nunan of this city, receivedlast evening a letter from his son, Lieut.Thomas Nunan of the 3d Ohio Cavalrv,dated Decherd, Ala., October 15th, giving some particulars of the recent pursuit of the rebel Gen. Wheeler’s cavalry force, and the late severe battle with them. The 3d Cavalry bore a most honorable part in the pursuit, and a principal part in the battle. Lieut. Nunan gives no particulars of loss, but understood the regiment had thirty men killed in the engagement.
