Mitchellite Is Home on Leave Following TourSp. 5 Jerald N. Hoffman has returned to his home in Mitchell on leave from the armed forces, after spending the past i 36 months stationed in Ger-j many.! Hoffman enlisted in the Army upon graduation from MitcheU High School in 1963. He received his basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood., Mo. He also received schooling in mechanics after basic at the Fort.From there he was transferred to 54ist Engineer Company for oversea’s duty and was connected with the 149th Transportation detachment, in helicopter repair,In May 1965 Hoffman transferred to the 591st Transportation Company and was stationed in Illesheim, Germany.On completion of leave, he will be stationed In Ft. Benaing, Ga. He is the son of Mrs, Fay Hoffman and the late Lee W. Hoffman.vtiii
