Local Organization is Now AnAuthorized Post—Charter toxbe Framed.The charter lor the Rmmet Brown post No. 113, of the American Legion, was received bv the secretary, Herman . K. Whitehead this morning, and the local organization is an authorized ■ post now, and can elect permanent of- , ficers soon as it sees fit. IThe application for the charter was i sent into the state authorities about t a month ago, and as it had to go to j the national head of the Legion at lt;Washington, it was some time coming ' back. The charter will be framed and s hung in the club rooms, if any are *\ procured. tThe dues for the organization arc a l dollar for a year, fifty cents of which t goes to the local post and fifty cents to jthe state and national organizu- i tions. Herman Whitehead has ordered buttons which are tq be worn by the membess of the post, * They will cost twenty-five cents.
