Harrison and bis com* rades, under whose labors the 1S92 reunion of the Persmmon Brigade was held in this city last Wednesday and Thursday,haye reason to feel gratified oyerthe very successful outcome of the meeting. The attendance was not so large as was hoped for, but the meeting was a great success in every other particular. There were registered about eighty survivors of the brigade, which consisted of the 115th, 116th, 117th and 118th Indiana Regiments.The general business meetings were held in the G. A. R. Hall at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon, and the various regiments heid their meetings Thursday morning. At the brigade meeting retiring president Capt. R. W. Harrison presided. The following officers were elected for 1892 3: President, Robert Denny, Indianapolis; secretary, J. M. Cassel, Indianapolis; chaplain, A. J. Nugent, Annapolis. The next reunion will be held at Indianapolis on Thursday of the national encampment.The camp fire at the Grand Opera House on Wednesday evening, brought out a large audience, which was admirably entertained, barring the effort of Smiley N. Chambers and one or two others of the speakers to turn it into a Republican rally.Cant. R. W. Harrison presided, and ths exercises were inaugurated with prayer by Chaplain Nugent. Mayor Pedigo made an address of welcome to which Gov. Thomas Hanna responded. Addresses were made by U. S. Distric t Attorney S. N. Chambers, of the 115th, IudianapolB; Key. A. J. Nugent, 116th Annapolis, Ind.; Capt. J. B. Werts, 117th, Indianapolis; Maj. H. B. Sayler, 118th, Hunt ington, and short talks by Gov. Hanna, Col. I. N. Walker, Chaplain Stewart and others. There was no attempt at stage decoration, but a large number of veteran soldiers occupied seats on the platform.The following is a complete roster of those of the brigade in attendance at the reunion:110th regiment.H.
