C., managed to drag the victims from an engine room filled with-the fumes.One man was killed before he could be rescued.Dixon, who attended the Oel-wein schools, is married to the former JoAnne Jacobs ot Oregon and has two daughters. He is the son of the Earl Dixons who arc now living in California. His sister, Mrs. Melvin Hartman, resides at Hazleton.w-O-sFORT RILEY, Kan. — Pvt. Jerome J. Fischels, whose wife, Margaret Irene, lives at Independence, is serving with the 10th Infantry Division at Fort Riley, Kansas.Fschels, son of Kate A. Fischels, entered the Army in May 1954.
