CAN. LEGION AUXILIARY HELD POT-LUCK SUPPERThe Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary No. 42, Selkirk. Man. held a pot-luck supper in the Legion Room, on Friday evening, the occasion marking their 17th anniversary. Mrs. E. Costello ofStonewall, Man., district representative was present and was guest speaker. Mrs. Costello also presented Mrs. C. Carter with a Past President s badge. There was also a number of past presidents present, including Mrs. S. S. Hall, the first president when the auxiliary was formed, also Mrs. H. Christiansen, who was secretary for fourteen years, and for several years secretary-treasurer. Sgt.Elmer Sinclair, P.P.C.L.I., who has recently returned from Korea, and Mrs. Sinclair were present. Mr. Sin clair displayed his collection of souvenirs from Korea. ,At this meeting, Mrs. Johnny Johnstone, president of the Auxibary introduced the grade eight pupil, Joey Olaison, who received theLegion Auxiliary- Scholarship forthis year, from Mrs. Wm. Corrigal. Joey is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Olafson of Selkirk.Winners of the draw were as follows: 1st, Permanent Wave, Mrs. P. H. Monkman. 2nd, Tatted Doiley. Shirley Karol; 3rd, Wicker Basket, Mrs. M. Swain.
