NOTORIETY FOR A CORKY MAXHe Tore Down the Confederate Flag: on the Famous Andrews Locomotive.Pittsburg, Oct, 18.—A Commercial Gazette Harrisburg, Pa., Special says: The identity of the person who recently removed the confederate flag from the famous Andrews locomotive, on exhibition at the World’s Fair, and for which the exposition officials are now making search, is no longer a secret. Major Isaac B. Brown, deputy secretary of internal affairs, returned yesterday from a two week’s visit to Chicago, and today his attention was directed to a newspaper article relative to the remoral of the flag.Major Brown stated that he had torn the flag down last Friday, a week, and that it was now in his possession. He says he intends presenting it to his post of the G. A. R., the J. J. Andrew's Post of Corry, Pa., and is willing to bear the responsibility of removing it.
