The leg of Robert Hammond, which necessitated amputation just btlow the knee, by reason of a gun-shot wound during the war, has been troubling him so much the past year from diseased bonethat he thought a second operation necessary, and accordingly Dr. A. Wall, together with Drs. Hoge, Farquhar,Simons, C. L. Wall and other surgeons repaired to his home Saturday, and the leg was again amputated about two inches above the knee. The p.itient is doing as well as could be expected.
