McDonald, m. sgt. osborneJanesville, Wis.Age 39. Passed away May. 1944 in a Japanese prison camp. He was born in Hampton. Ontario, Canada, April 15, 1905. Before enlisting in the service in 1941 Sgt. McDonald was a machinist at the Chevrolet plant in Janesville. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Janesville. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Florence M. Anderson of Emo, Ontario, Canada; three brothers, Stanley Robbins of New York City, Richard Robbins of Beloit. Wis., and Leonard Robbins of Racine; five sisters, Mrs. Clay Thelen of Jefferson. Wis., Mrs. Earl Stephens of Milton, Wis., Mrs. Fred DeLange of Bellflower. Calif., Mrs. Frank Jones and Mrs. Roy Burmeister, both of Racine; also numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 2 p. m. in Christiansen’s Chapel. Rev. E. E. Young officiating. Burial will be in the veterans plot in Graceland Cemetery. American Legion Post 310 will provide ballbearers and bugler._
