Marine CpI. R. Brooks Serving In Viet NamChu Lai, Viet Nam (FHTNC) Sept. 30. — Marine Corporal Robert L. Brooks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mattie Brooks of 519 W. Third St., Shiner, is currently serving in the Chu Lai sector of Viet Nam with Company “A”, 7th Motor Transport Battalion.Company “A” is attached to the 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment serving with the 3rd Marine Division.The Regiment has participated in two major operations against the Viet Cong since its arrival in July.
