STAR VALLEY INDEPEND1BOMBER PLANEBelieve it or not, Star Valley hag$85,000.00 on our bomber, according to word received by G. A. News-wander. Won't our serivce boys be proud to head this. Still we can do better; out of 1050 families in (Star Valley, during the drive, only 844 families bought bonds, and fur* ther too many people bought 25 dol-jlar bonds when they could afford $500 to $1000 dollar bonds, now, i gentlemen, if you can tell me how jwe can win a war with this type of support you will out-wit any of*us In all seriousness we have just got to do better, you people who are stretching to your limit have just got to take up a labor with those who are luke warm in buying, or we will eventually drift to a luke warm war front, lose ten times the gallant boys and prolong this affair for extra years. Don’t think this war is over, because we are not even in the middle of it, regardless of the outlook of victory for the allies. Our nation *is depending on everyone of u» t«f support this war to the last gun fired, and we must,not only three-fourths of us, but all of us. *I made a slight mistake in last week's article, and did Etna people get mad at me it wouldn't surpriseme to get the works. Mrs. Ella Wolfley, a very patriotic lady, gave me two timely kicks, and told me to read my reports more carefully.s'So Freedom get the dog house ready 1 I’ll be coming over, but even if I did make a mistake I still say Freedom has a splendid group of people, and the next drive—well, time will J* tell. Great kid this Jerry. 1 I see where this Merrill Taylor re- p ceived a slight arm wound in action *jon the front. His folks are very p proud of Merrill, along with the I* valley people. Spike Clark, hasp been in on a furlough,Sorta feel proud of the ATO in « Star Valley, five of them in the .service. Bear, Cub, Wardell Welch, |Vern Wolfley, and Bernard Lewis.\That includes everyone in the valley, but myself, and believe me I'm in plenty of trouble this week. Had a nice talk with Johnny Edgren, who was in on a short furlough. Navy. Johnny bought a lot of bonds on our fighting plane.rlt;iiiIf you will ask a few questions as to the size of our air corps here in Star Valley you will be surprised on just how many we have.
