Spec. 5. Charley .1. Pierson,son of Lee C. Pierson, 270(5 E. 9th St., and whose wife, Dorris, lives at Dimmilt, is scheduled to participate with other members of the 11th Air Assault Division in Exercise Air Assault II, a month-long field training maneuver Oct. 1lt;1- Nov. 12 in the tri-state area of Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Pierson, a 1957 graduate of Springlake High School, entered the Army the same year and was last stationed in Vietnam. Regularly stationed at Ft. Benning, Ga., he Is a helicopter crew chief in Company C of the division's 229th Assault Helicopter Battation.
