Twice A CasualtySgt. Blair Brumbaugh of Saxton has received his second wound in battle and is now recuperating in a hospital in England. Word of his recent injury was received on Sim day- by his father, Daniel Brumbaugh in a telegram from the War Department. The message stated that. Sergeant Brumbaugh has been slightly wounded'in action m Holland on September -27_ Just a short time later, 'mi'the' same morning, a letter written by the wounded soldier reached the Brumbaugh home, much to the re-hcf Of the family. The letter, written on September 30, brought the comforting news that Sergeant Brumbaugh had been flown back to England and is getting along nicely. The letter was the first received from him in the past three months.Sergeant Brumbaugh enlisted ; on January g, 1942, and is se ving - with the paratroopers. He saw action m Sicily and in Italy, and was wounded at Anzio Beach-' head on December 14, 1943. He has received the Purple Heart.He received his training at Fort Bragg, N.
