Parents to Receive $6,000for Death of Twin Sons.Cuero, Texas, September 22.— Mrs. Fritz Bohne of this city has received a check from the United States Government for the sum of$800, being a payment on back insurance for her twin sons, Jesse and Joe Bohne, who died of spinal meningitis in the naval training camps at the Great Lakes and Norfolk, respectively, in the spring of1917.I he boys had not taken out any insurance at that time, as they both died at the age of 17 years, after being in training only about a month, their deaths causing President Wilson to write a letter of personal sympathy to their parents here.The department, however, now holds that $6,000 in insurance shall be paid to their mother, in monthly installments of $50 and the $800 received represents sixteen past due months of this allotment. Notwithstanding this great shocksustained by these parents in theloss of their two young boys whilein training for duty, both parentsreadily consented a few weeks agofor a third son under age, to offerhis services to the navy and he isnow in training and getting along nicely.
