Army Staff Sergeant James Catron Jr., 26, whose parents. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Catron, live on Route 1, Cumberland Gap, Tenn., recently received the Bronze Star Medal in Vietnam. Ha was presented the Bronze Star Medal for distinguishing himself through meritorious service in connection with military operations against hostile forces in Vietnam. The medal, adopted in 1944. recognizes outstanding achievement. Sgt. Catron received the award while assigned as chief in Headquarters Company 1st Battalion, 7lr Squadron, 1st , cavalry division (airmobile). (The sergeant entered the Army in 1961, He also holds the Viet- ! namese Gallantly Cross. Sgt. Catron’s wife, Peggy, lives on : Route 2. Harrogate, Tenn.
