WITH THE COLORSS Sgt. John Casper, Jr. son of Mr and Mrs. John Casper of S toys town has been discharged from the army, through Inchant own Gap The 13th of February. 1942. Sgt Casper entered the army. He received training at Fort Bragg. N. C. then he served in Hawaii, the Solomon island and Now Georgia with the 25th division. He returned to this country August. 1942 after 38 months overseas.Casper wears the bronze star medal which is awarded for heroic action while engaged in combat, the Asiatic-Pacific theater ribbon with three bronze stars, and the Philippine Liber at ion ribbon with one bronze star.A former employe of the Baker*Whltely coal company at Hooversvlile. Sgt. Casper attended the Shade township high school at Cairnbrook.
