NAVY HONORS TEXANCLARENDON, Texas, Oct. 10. lt;7P Joseph Hunt Bourland, son of W. M. Bourland, pioneer Donley Coun-i ty ranchman, lias been made regimental commander of the Naval Academy Midshipmen at Annapolis. A communication from the academy describes Bourland aa “a star man of First Class, business manager of Lucky Bag, and one of themast popular men in his class.” I While on Summer cruise, Bourland was honored by Governor I James R. Beverley of Porto Rico, who formerly lived in Amarillo and Dal hart. Their fathers were at one time ranch operators togetherin the Panhandle.
