120TH ILL. VOL. INF'Y REUNION.The Best Time They Ever Had, Saidthe Old Boys.Thirty-four members of the old regiment attended the reunion at Grand Army hall in this city Tuesday, and | not only had what they said was the best reunion they ever held but, the weather being pleasant, indulged in a march around the public square. For this the music was furnished byI J Ithe drum corps of Z. N. Real, the old 31st 111. lifer, who led the march into Vicksburg, July 4, 1863.The address of welcome wyus delivered by Sigel Gapel, and the response by Capt. Mark Whittaker. Rev. W. C*. Roper opened the proceedings with prayer. Quite a number of members of other regiments were also present at the meeting.The following officers were electedfor the ensuing year: Dr. W. R. Mi-zell of New Burnside president, L. I). Nolen of Carrier Mills vice president, John Whittaker of Ozark 2d vice president, Wm. Whittaker of New I Burnside treasurer, J. II. Carter of ! Vienna secretary.The soldiers’ wives and widows of | Harrisburg spread a bounteous repast ! for the assemblage at noon, on the ’ grounds east of the hall.The proceedings in the afternoon were interspersed with addresses by J. H. Carter, Rev. W. C. Roper, Eld. W. S. Blackman, Capt. J. T. Mosleyand John Whittaker; also, by some songs by Eld. Blackman.The following expression of opinion presented by a committee composed ofDr. W. R. Mizell, Capt. Mark Whittaker and Capt. J. T. Mosley was unanimously adopted: “The 120th 111. Inf., at its annual reunion, desires to return its hearty thanks to Geo. Newell Post 454, G. A. R., for the use of their hall and the cordial reception at their hands; and we further extend our thanks to the citizens of the city of Harrisburg for the hospitable reception extended them, and especially do we thank those patriotic ladies who gave us such an excellent dinner.”No registry of those in attendance was kept so we could not get a complete list, but in addition to those already named we noticed the following as present:Frank Ingram, J.
