LESLIE GlSBOXtported that while in Greece last spring and summer he visited with a niece of Gus Pappas, former owner of the Royalee Cafe, and the wife and daughters of j Ben Barboul. who with his brother I Andy operates the Barboul Restaur ian: on Dual Lane 30. These two *#businessmen were two of his first! callers upcn his return to Valpar- i aiso, asking to hear all about.their families in Athens.Capt. Casbon, whose parents, Mr ; and Mrs. Lawrence Casbon. reside; on Morgan boulevard, was sta- iitioned in Europe for almost a year as director of services and 1 supply. He made many flights; | between Greece and Italy, and ov- j 1 er North Africa. His decorations!include the Victory Medal cf V/orld i War One. the Europe-Middle East j African Theater ribbon with one j battle star, and the sharpshooters i medal. jBefore going overseas Capt. j Casbon was stationed at Spokane j Army Air Field where he prepared | a large squadron for foreign duty : He served about nine months as:a reserve officer in World War;One and was called into activeduty in War Two in July. 1942.
