Benjamin Har- • rison Monday afternoon by the post 'adjutant, ^apt. F. J. Lu~; chowski. !The bronze star was. awarded j for action against the enemy in' December of 1944 and the sil- j ver star for gallantry in April; of 1945 during action which; cost him his life. He was a: graduate of Frankfort high j school and Puidue university.; and was employed by the Ful- j ton-Sylphon company in Knox- j ville, Tenn., as an efficiency on- ; gineer at the time of his enlist-;ment in March of 1942. ;/Attended O. C. S. !He took his basic training at. Camp Claibourne La., and at- ; tended officer’s candidate school at Fort Sill, Okla: He was then stationed at Camp Breckcn-• ridge, Kv.. and Fort George G.; Meade. Md., before going to, England. Lt. Hart landed in! France with the invasion forces ( in June. .1943, and saw action 5 also in Belgium and Germany.Mrs. Hart has two children: 1 James-B., 4 years old. and Le- ( Anna, 21 months. Lt. Hart's ‘ brother. Pfc. Richard N. Hart, ^ is with a railway battalion in ?ndin, and his brother-in-law'. Lt. Karl J. Moulton. is with the 57th Field Artillery in Korea. -Mrs.- Moulton and Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Hart. Sr., of Frankfort, accompanied Mrs. Hart to FortHarrison for the award cere- -*mony.——----- — i
