REPORTED KILLEDFRANK R. ROGERSPilot of a Liberator bomber, Lt. Frank R. Rogers was reported killed Sept. 24 in an airplane accident on Wake Island** in a telegram from the war department received Thursday by his mother, Mrs. F. G. Rogers, 1608 Burnett. Since Wake Island still is in Japanese hands, the telegram provided grounds for conjecture as to details. Lieutenant Rogers, a 1936 graduate of Wichita Falls High School, had been overseas since May. He was commissioned in November, of last year at Waco. His wife, the former Mary Nell Riley, 2105 Roberts, is recovering from an appendectomy at Bethania Hospital.
