Warsaw, seven Adams county drafted men have been sentenced to ten years at hard labor at Fort Leavenworth prison for refusing to obey the commands of their officers. In the list also are twenty other “conscientious objectors.“ each of whom has been sentenced to from ten to fifteen years. The story as printed follows:Cam Taylor. Ky.. Oct. 4—The following men sent to Camp Taylor from this county by the local military board, were sentenced to hard labor at Fort Leavenworth prison from the 19th depot brigade, S4th division. Major General Harry C. Hale commanding. The sentences were confirmed and announced before a court matial Saturday afternoon. Twentyseven “conscientious objectors” refused to obey the lawful command of their officers, which were to plan grass'seed* around the camp hospital:Those from Adams county were: Jofcn Leichty, ten years.Walter Sprunger. ten years.Tilman Soldner. ten years.Abe Xeuenschwander, ten years.
