Florence was draft-ILed for just her quota into one man, Loran got off with less than her quota, while Erin and Kent came in for more than theirfshare.In Erin, Rev. Mr. Witte of the German Church, was called upon to shoulder a musket, as was also our friend Pat. Q. Kauffman, one of tho most oarncst Union men in tho town. In Loran School Commissioner Crary was one of the lucky. He wqb in town on Saturday and said ho should report in person. He should respond to tho call and cheerfully do all in his power to serve tho country that needed him. John Washburne, of Florence, one of the drafted, was married only a few days ago. His marriage notice appears in another column. II. W. Knowlton, of Florence, son of D. A. Knowlton, Esq., is selected as a fit man to wear Uncle Sam’s uniform.
