GENERAL ORDER NO. 3.HE A D-QU AHTEHS,Camp Crosman, Oct. 5,1861.The following orders will be observed by the troops while in Camp Grosman :1. The reveille will be sounded at thedawn of day, and companies will form on their parade grounds. As soon asthe reveille ceases, the rolls will be called by the First Sergeants, superintended by a commissioned officer. Squads will drill one hour. Immediate]}’aftersquad drill, the quarters .will be pul inorder by the men Of the companies, superintended by the chiefs of the squads.2. The parades around and avenues to the quarters of the troops, e., will be cleared by the police party of the da}’, in charge of a non-commissioned-officer, superintended by the officer of the Guard.3. Breakfast call will be sounded atseven o'clock.4. The First Sergeants will make their report at regimental licad-quar-tcrs every morning at 9 o’clock.5. The sick wiij be sent to General Hospital every morning at 9.20, in charge of a non-commissioned officer.i ' ^fi. The troop will sound at half-past nine, A. M., for the purpose of Guard Mounting.., Guard Mounting at 10 o’clock.7. Adjutants will report daily at General I lead-Qua Hers, at 10 A. if.8. Captains are required to drill theircompanies from 101 to 111, A. M. •9. The dinner call to be sounded at 12 o'clock. II.10. The troops will bo exercised in company or regimental drill, from 33 to 4-3, F. M.11. Regimental Dress parade at 53,P.M. ~12. The retreat, will be sounded atsunset, when the rolls will be called and the orders for the day read.13. The tattoo will be sounded at half-past nine o’clock in the evening, when the rolls will be called, and no soldier will be allowed to be out of his tent after this hour, without special business. All lights shall be extin-o iguished at the tap of the drum, except at the guard tout.14. Any soldier being found intoxicated, or bringing spirituous liquors into camp, shall be placed under arrest by the officers of the Guard.15. On Sun flays, the squad, company and regimental drills, will bo dispensed with.1G. Any soldier behaving .in a riotous and disorderly manner in or out of camp, or who shall be found guilt}’ of interfering with private property, shall be placed under arrest, and such punishment inflicted as may be decided by a Court Martial; or on complaint of the aggrcived parties, shall be delivered up to the civil authorities,in accordance wita the 33d Article of War.17. Commanding officers of regiments and companies, are hereby required to carry out the foregoing orders j and it is moreover enjoined on them, in accordance with their duty, under the .regulations of the United States, to use all proper influences with the men under their command, for the purpose of encouraging habits of morality and sobriety, of promoting activityof the body and cheerfulness of mind, and by all means, of insuring, by attention to drill and discipline, the ef-, ficicncy of the corps in the duty of the soldier.18.
