During these flights, often through turbulent and dangerous weather fronts. Lieutenant Hoey has encountered intense flak and fighter interception over the enemy targets.Lieutenant Hoey, a resident -jf Naugatuck. Conn.. Is the son of John B. Hoey, Sr., of Walnut street. Pie entered the military service in January, 19*12. and was com mission eel in December. 19*13. He left for overseas duty in March, 194-1.
