en In ServicSAFE DRIVERArmy Specialist Four Robert J. Gabers, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gale L. Davis, rt. 2, Defiance, was awarded a safe driving certificate Sept. 15 while serving with the 519th Med. Det. near Da Nang, Vietnam.Specialist Gabers received the award for driving military vehicles more than 2,000 miles with no accidents or traffic violations. He entered the Army Sept. 3, 1969, completed basic training at Fort Campbell, Ky., and was last stationed at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He is a 1968 alumnus of Tinora High School.
