PINEY SOLDIERS IN GERMANYThree Eastern Manitobans who are stationed at the Canadian Army base at Soest. Germany. From left to right they are: Rfn. Phillip Clark, Bissci. the son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Clark. Rfn. Roy Produn of Beaconia. and Rfn. Norman Anderson, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Anderson of Piney. Man. All three belong to the famous Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada, a unit that will celebrate its 100th anniversary next year. Holding the weights in the gymnasium at the army camp is Rfn Produn, whose husky build testifies to his physical strength.
