Marine Corps• iLeague Staff Meeting DueThe Marine Corps League Department. of Florida will hold a state staff meeting this coming weekend, Oct. 4-5, It was announced today by Jack Maughan, commandant of the local detachment.Maughan, who bolds .the office of senior vice-commandant in the state organization, urges all members to attend the staff meeting which will be held in the Governors Club Hotel, Fort Lauderdale.Highlight of the meeting, Maug-han stated, will be the welcoming of Judge Gardiner, the new national commandant of the Marine Corps League, who is from St. Petersburg. This will be done Sunday at the staff meeting.Blackie Downing of St. Peters-hurg will be initiated as the new national Chief Devil Dog at Saturday's Devil Dog Growl. Maughan added.
