D. 1, were notified Friday that their son, Pfc. Delbert Roy Maccombs, age20, had been killed in action in France on Aug. 5.Mr. and Mrs. Fred H. Beveridge, New Marshfield, received word Friday that their son, Pvt. Paul Edwin Beveridge, age 26, has been missing in action in Belgium since Sept. 6.Pfc. Maccombs, former Messen-| gr^carrler at Kimberly, was in the infantry and had been in the service SMce April 20, 1943. Besides his parents, he leaves five brothers and four sisters, all at home, and his grandmother, Mrs. Cora Cunningham, Murray City. He was unmarried.Private Beveridge, a graduate of Union Furnace High School with the class of 1935, was inducted Dec. 31, 1943, received his basic training at Ft. McClellan, Ala., and arrived overseas in July. He was Browning Automatic Rifleman in his outfit.He married Mary Evelyn Martin, of Nelsonville five years ago and they have one son, Gary Paul, age 4. Prior to his induction Private } Beveridge worked at the Carbon-dale mine and at the time of his induction was employed as an auxiliary patrolman at the Scioto Ordnance Plant at Marion.
