Helping deployed troops is a family affairI wondered if your readers would be interested in what my family and friends are doing for the men and women in Iraq?Last spring, when I was visiting my daughter, Kathy Raney, she told me how a soldier from Rose Hill had put a letter in the paper saying that he hopes we don't forget about them while they’re over there. She began sending packages to him. He’s a 20-year veteran and when he gets a package he shares it with the men and women that don’t get mail. I got his address and began sending him packages. Then my son, Kevin Axelson, Russell, began sending packages also. My sister, Joan Usher in Salma, got in*'^things. It has been very rewarding. It costs $8.10 to send each box so anyone caring to give postage would be welcomed.Thought this would be of interest to your readers.Wendella Axelson Natoma
