LOCAL MEN IN AEMED SERVICEFrom tlie Fifth Air Force Service Combiand, in the Southwest Pacific, ' there comes to the Hugistor-Tribune the following notice of a promotion j to an Akron airman: '.Staff Sergeoht Wilmcr C. Klcmme, i son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Klenitnc, of Rbuto.3, Akron, was recently promoted to his present grade from sergeant.' His is a sheet metal worker in a service squadron of the Air Scr- I vice Command, which supplies and services the aircraft for tlie Fifth Air I Force.Sgt. Klcmme has been overseas for 1 12 months and is entitled to wenr the j Asiatic-Pacific theater ribbon with bronze citation for particpnting in tlie battle for Now Guinea.Before his enlistment into the armed forces in June, 1942, Sgt. 1 Klcmme was a tractor driver for the 1 Alfred II. Kjemme farms.
